Desc: Welcome to Tampa Champions Expert and Master Quad! Mondays, weekly, 7:30-10:30pm. -- Location: Tampa Champions Chess, 5035 E Busch Blvd Suite 7, Tampa, FL 33617. -- $15 entry, $30 prize to first place. -- 2 rounds, USCF rated. -- Time control: 40 minutes 5 second delay (40 d5). -- Open to players rated 2000+ USCF only. ********************************************************* Pairings depend on the number of players: -- 4 players → Modified 2‑round Quad (Like a standard quad, but skips the round where 1 plays 4 and 2 plays 3. This gives two rounds instead of three while keeping opponents as close in rating as possible.) -- 2 players → Two‑round match, alternating colors. -- 6 players → One head‑to‑head match (2 players) + one modified 2‑round Quad (4 players). -- 8 players → Two modified 2‑round Quads. -- Truman Hoàng will be the alternate player, so there can never be an odd number.
