Name: 3rd annual John G. Harris Championship
Desc:
Format: A three section, USCF rated 5-round tournament. Open to University of Florida students, faculty, and alumni as well as the general public! Trophies to top finishers. Light refreshments will be provided.
Schedule: 10am - 11:30am - 1:30pm - 3pm - 4:30pm
Time Control: Game in 30 minutes with a 5 second delay per move (G/30; d5)
Entry Fees:
UF/Florida college Students and Faculty: $20 on or before 2/10, $35 after or on-site. Please register with your school email. If not, proof of enrollment
must be provided via email prior to the tournament to receive the $20 rate. Use discount code STUDENT to receive your $15 off
General Public: $35 on or before 2/10, $50 after or on-site.
Free entry for titled players with $35 prize deduction (contact us by email if you qualify).
Unrated prize limit of $100 except in Open Section.

Open Section: $350 (gtd.) - $200 - $100 - $50
U1900: $100 - $50
U1600 Section: $200 - $125 - $75
U1300: $100 - $50
U1000 Section: $150 - $100 - $50
U700/Top Unrated: $100 - $50
Top Scholastic (K-12): $100 - $50
Unrated Playing up Fee: $10 for any unrated playing wishing to play in the Open section. No fee for U1000 or U1600
Byes: 2 half point byes available, request before the beginning of Round 3.
This event requires parents, guardians, or teachers to be responsible for the care, custody, or control of the minor participants, The University of Florida will not provide supervision.
