Desc: The Manasota Chess Center will hold a U.S. Chess Federation (USCF) rated 4-round Swiss tournament for up to 24 players. Two tournament sections: Advanced (USCF rating 1800 and Above) and Open (USCF rating under 1800). All rounds are Game in 25 minutes, with 5-second delay. *************************************************************** PRIZES: (contingent upon 18 entries across both sections) Advanced Section (1800 and above): $100 Open Section (Under 1800): $65 - 40 - 25; U1400 = $25; U1000 = one free chess lesson with MCC coach. *************************************************************** ROUNDS: 4 rounds. Round 1 begins at 11:00AM. *************************************************************** ENTRY FEE: $20 for Manasota Chess Center members; $25 for non-members. NOTE: Manasota Chess Center members should enter discount code when completing online registration form. *************************************************************** REGISTRATION: ALL PLAYERS must have a valid USCF membership ID# to participate. Non-USCF members can purchase a membership or renew at the tournament site. USCF membership MUST be purchased or renewed before the tournament begins. End of on-site or online registration is 10AM, Sunday, the morning of tournament. *************************************************************** Chess sets and clocks will be provided.
