Name: Tampa - Chasing Checkmate Championship  
Desc: Please join us for our monthly youth and adult chess tournaments. Date and Time: Sunday, May 19th 12:00-4:00 pm Location: North Hillsboro Moose Lodge, 8908 Lake Sunset Dr., Tampa, Rules: Rated Sections, Four-Round Swiss Tournament. Time control: G/30, d5 (30 min game with a 5-second delay). Entry Fees: $30. Awards: Trophies will be awarded to 1st-6th place winners for all youth sections. All participants will receive a chess medallion. Adult Open Section Cash Prizes b/20 players; 1st - $150, 2nd - $100, 3rd - $50. Ratings: Players competing in the rated sections must have a USCF membership (this is not necessary for the unrated section). You can obtain a yearly USCF membership online. Chess Sets: If you have a chess set/clock please bring it. There will be 15 sets available for use on a first-come, first-serve basis. Parking: There is parking in the front of the building. Things to Know: The Moose Lodge is a members-only non-profit organization. You may only hang out in the main area of the building or order drinks if you are a member. The chess tournament will take place in the hall at the back of the building. We ask that if your child is outside playing they must have a parent accompanying them. Food: Pizza, chips, drinks and candy will be available for purchase. Outside food/drinks permitted. Things to do: The tournament will take place at the Moose Lodge which is off Sheldon Road. The area has some shops and restaurants, but most businesses will require a car to get there.
