Desc: Checkmate Before the Feast: Pre-Thanksgiving Chess Tournament on Saturday, November 15th, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. ********************************************************** Address:- 3140 Old Atlanta Rd, Suwanee, GA 30024. ********************************************************** This USCF-rated event will consist of four rounds, with time controls set at G/25 + 5-second increment. Round times are scheduled for 10:00 AM, 11:30 AM, 1:15 PM, and 2:30 PM. Free Pizza will be served for players after round 2. ********************************************************** The tournament will be divided into Three rating-based sections: U500, U1000, U1400. Prizes will be awarded in each sections, ********************************************************** with 1st Place receiving $50+trophy and 2nd and 3rd Place earning trophies. Surprise gift for player winning all four rounds. ********************************************************** The entry fee is $30 if paid by November 7th and $35 by November 13th and $40 thereafter. ********************************************************** Participation is limited to 50 players, so early registration is strongly encouraged. ********************************************************** 1/2-Pt. Byes: Available, limit two. Must request 1/2-point byes before round 1 ends. 0-point byes available at any time for any round. Players may play up if rating within 100 points of the section requirement. USCF membership is required and should not be expired.
